Gregory Carbins is a Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the field. Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including residential treatment facilities and intensive outpatient programs. In addition to working directly with individuals in recovery, he has dedicated much of his focus to supporting the families and loved ones of those struggling with Substance Use Disorders (SUDs)—a group that often lacks the resources and guidance they need.

His practice centers on helping family members and close friends navigate the emotional challenges associated with a loved one’s substance use. He offers compassionate, personalized counseling designed to help clients:

  • Understand the nature of Substance Use Disorders

  • Process their own emotions and experiences

  • Set healthy, effective boundaries

  • Learn how to support their loved one without enabling harmful behavior

  • Communicate assertively and clearly, without conflict

  • Reduce stress and regain a sense of control

  • Reconnect with their own goals, passions, and well-being

Above all, Gregory believes that emotional resilience and personal fulfillment are vital—not only for individual healing but also as a foundation for any supportive role taken on by family and friends.

He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Purdue University and has proudly served in the U.S. Army. These experiences have shaped his deep commitment to structure, strength, and service in every aspect of his professional work.
